Tuition & Fees

The tuition deposit is required with an application. An additional tuition payment is due on the day of the first online meeting. The balance of tuition and fees are to be paid based on a payment plan the adult learner has selected. The adult learner is responsible for seeing that all tuition payments are made by the due date. The terms of the payment plan and/or tuition agreement are to be strictly observed by all parties. Tuition delinquency may result in deferred eligibility for attendance at academics or scheduling of practicum visits.  The adult learner credential will not be awarded until tuition is paid in full.

GMEI inclusive tuition covers these expenses (often additional expenses in other programs):

  • Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) fees

  • American Montessori Society (AMS) fees

  • All Manuals/albums for all program coursework

  • Early Childhood Overview course for the Infant/Toddler and Elementary Levels.  The Early Childhood (EC) Overview is required for adult learners who have not successfully completed an accredited EC training.

  • Practicum expenses

    • Note: Practicum site visits in excess of 50 miles from the GMEI® Teacher Education Program offices will be subject to additional travel fees and expenses.

Purchasing the required reading books is the responsibility of the adult learner. Housing and food during the in residence is also the responsibility of the adult learner. GMEI will provide options for housing at a reduced rate.

Tuition and Fees are covered under the Application for Admission as the Tuition Agreement.  The Tuition Agreement is included at the end of the General Handbook. The Tuition Agreement includes an agreement for sponsorship if the adult learner is being sponsored by their school. The Tuition Agreement also includes options for tuition payment. The General Handbook will be issued when the adult learner has been accepted into the program.
