Overview

Global Montessori Educators Institute’s (GMEI® Teacher Education Program) mission is to provide accessible Montessori teacher training to adult learners committed to authentic Montessori education through a thoughtful blend of both online and in-residence hours, 80% of the course is online and 20% is in residence. The online portion takes place during the school year and residency is three weeks over the summer. Qualified applicants will benefit from the guidance of highly skilled, experienced instructors in any one of the following programs:

Infant-Toddler - ages 0 through 3 years

Early Childhood - ages 2.5 through 6 years

Elementary I - ages 6 through 9 years

Elementary I-II - ages 6 through 12 years

As a distinct advantage, GMEI® has fully integrated the Teacher Education Program within the Montessori School of Waukesha. Established in 1964, MSOW serves students from the level of toddler through eighth grade and is the first and only school in Wisconsin to be accredited by the American Montessori Society. All of the in-residence classes are held at the Main Campus of Montessori School of Waukesha. The fully equipped classrooms at MSOW are also available for practice sessions and participants in the teacher education program are welcome to observe in any of our Toddler through Middle School environments.

We look forward to guiding you on your journey.

It is an honor to share the experience and knowledge of so many gifted instructors!
