Brenda Zellmer

Brenda Zellmer offers a lifetime of experience to GMEI adult learners. She is currently Head of School at Montessori School of Waukesha, which is the GMEI lab school. Brenda served as a Montessori credentialed early childhood lead teacher at MSOW for 18 years. Before becoming a teacher, Brenda was a business banker. She holds Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction licenses in administration, and curriculum & instruction, as well as a lifetime teacher’s license. Brenda earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Alverno College, a master’s degree in business administration from UW-Whitewater, and a bachelor’s degree in communication from UW-Whitewater. She is a Rotary Foundation International Scholarship recipient and studied for a year in Australia at the graduate level. Brenda is proud to be an instructor for MSOW’s Teacher Education Program, GMEI. She also teaches for the UW-River Falls Graduate Montessori Teacher Education Program in the area of mathematics. Brenda co-managed MSOW’s accreditation bid with the American Montessori Society in 2015. Brenda lives in Waukesha with her husband and has two Montessori educated children and two grandchildren.
