Anne Groh

Anne Groh started teaching at GMEI in 2022, and is grateful to share her classroom teaching experiences with adults who are starting their journey in a Montessori classroom. Her own experience began at the Montessori Institute of Milwaukee where she had the great pleasure of meeting not only Allyn Travis but also Margaret Stephenson and Phyllis Pottish-Lewis, all of whom solidified her understanding of Montessori education. She went on to serve in a variety of capacities, most notably as a Lower Elementary Guide at Milwaukee Public Schools Maryland Avenue Montessori.  She feels it is a great delight to explore cosmic education with 6, 7 and 8 year-olds!  Outside of the classroom, she is involved with two projects. Milwaukee: A City of Readers is a video reading program encouraging youngsters to read; and Summer of Learning and Adventures is a summer camp for Maryland Avenue families.
