Anne Groh

I started teaching at GMEI in 2022, grateful to share my classroom teaching experiences with adults who are starting their journey in a Montessori classroom.  My own experience began at the Montessori Institute of Milwaukee where I had the great pleasure of meeting not only Allyn Travis but also Margaret Stephenson and Phyllis Pottish-Lewis, all of whom solidified my understanding of Montessori education.  I went on to serve in a variety of capacities, most notably as a Lower Elementary Guide at Milwaukee Public Schools Maryland Avenue Montessori.  It is a great delight to explore cosmic education with 6, 7 and 8 year-olds!  Outside of the classroom, I am involved with two projects.  Milwaukee:  A City of Readers is a video reading program encouraging youngsters to read; and Summer of Learning and Adventures is a summer camp for Maryland Avenue families.
