Why Choose GMEI?

On behalf of the Global Montessori Educators Institute® (GMEI®) faculty and staff, we are pleased to present a wide range of courses designed to fit the lives of busy professionals. We recognize that accessibility and flexibility are a key component to supporting your success. Our courses begin with online modules that promote a deeper understanding of fundamental concepts, followed by classroom hours in the presence of exceptional, experienced instructors.

We offer teacher education programs for:

Infant-Toddler (ages birth to three years)
Early Childhood (ages two-and-a-half to six years)
Elementary I (ages six to nine years)
Elementary II (ages nine to twelve years)

As a distinct advantage, GMEI® is fully integrated into Montessori School of Waukesha (MSOW) as its lab school. MSOW was established in 1964 and serves students from a toddler program through eighth grade. It is the first and only Montessori school in Wisconsin with accreditation from the American Montessori Society. We feel that this combination of credentials offers a significant advantage to our candidates.

HERE IS WHAT OUR ADULT LEARNERS ARE SAYING ABOUT GMEI:

“I think after in person training and after the online portion I definitely feel confident going into the next school year and I'm excited to grow in my practice.” -Jane Savage (Early Childhood)

“I have felt very supported since I first walked into our training.” -Grace Hauck (Early Childhood)

“It really helps to get on the floor with the materials so that your hands and your mind start learning what to do and how to do it that way you're prepared to go back into the classroom.” -Jane Savage (Early Childhood)

“I was really anxious for math, for example, just because I struggle with math, and I left those two days feeling like oh I can do this! Brenda was so patient with us and every question was valuable and she really cared about what we were doing.” -Grace Hauck (Early Childhood)

‘It's a really welcoming community, so if you’re intimidated just know that you are going to be met with skills and expertise and love and compassion that you are going to be able to take back into your classroom and your community.” -Jane Savage (Early Childhood)
